MCU CHARITABLE TRUST COMMUNITY GRANTS

The MCU Charitable Trust Management Committee will be accepting applications for the 2008 Community Grants from May 2008. Applicants must be established community organisations that are based or operate within the greater Maleny area.

Each year the Maleny Credit Union allocates up to 10% of before tax profit to the Maleny Credit Union Charitable Trust for the Community Grants Scheme. This is combined with other community benefit schemes and private donations also earmarked for the program.

The MCU Charitable Trust is a tax deductible, tax exempt Trust established by the Maleny Credit Union to assist financing local non-profit community groups whose activities enhance the local environment, alleviate poverty and generally help improve the living conditions for those in the Maleny and district communities.

Your tax deductible donations for this program would be gratefully accepted at the Maleny Credit Union.
You can easily support the Trust in a number of ways:

• Sign up to the MCU Spare Change Program, which sweeps the cents in your savings accounts at each month end.
  MCU Internet banking users can sign up via the "Member Details" page,
• The Trust can also be nominated to receive points via the Maleny IGA’s Community Benefits Fund,
• The Trust can also be nominated to receive funds via the "Sunshine Coast Community Enterprise" Our Telco Scheme,
• Regular electronic payments from your savings accounts can also be arranged
