Deeming Account
The Maleny Credit Union has Pensioner Deeming Accounts to cater for members who are eligible under the Federal Government Deeming Scheme to open these accounts. They are designed to meet their day to day banking requirements. An opening balance of only $500.00 is required. This account can have access to various additional facilities like a VISA Debit Card, cheque book, periodical payments, Direct Debits and if arranged, overdrafts. The rates of interest are in accordance with the Federal Government's deemed rates of return.

Minimum Opening Balance $500
Membership Activity Fee is $2.50 per month and charged only on memberships that have had over the counter transaction activity.
VISA Debit Card Fee is $3.50 per month and charged on memberships that have a VISA Debit Card on issue. Cardholders will not incur the Membership Activity Fee.
